CHALLENGE:
Inspire prospective students to consider studying with the OU.

IDEA:
A series heroing real student stories. In their own words, students describe their ambitions and motivations, and how the OU enables them. We are pulled into their animated world, and illustration brings their experiences to life in a vibrant, expressive way. We show what realising their ambition feels like, as well as highlighting key ways learning fits around their life. Moving typography, and fluid transitions cut-through in busy social feeds, with a long-form 30s hero film featuring on TV.

I scripted the stories, interviewed the students to capture key VO soundbites, and worked with animation house, Buff Motion, to develop key scenes. I designed a modular approach to the visual narrative, in order to create multiple cross platform cut-downs, within budget.

RESULTS:
Student acquisitions went 15% above targets and the integrated campaign won Silver Best Customer Acquisition campaign at the DMA awards.
